Denver Jailbirds!

Warm thanks and gratitude to those of you who supported the Muscular Dystrophy Association Fundraiser! Thank you so much for donating to this great cause and because of your generous hearts, we raised over $35,000 and are sending 43 kids to camp! I am so grateful that I was one of “MDA’S Most Wanted” this year and to be a part of something so special! Every one of you who donated made this fundraiser a complete success and I can’t thank you enough!

If you weren’t able to get in on the action, they are still taking extra donations to try and reach $40,000 this year! Feel free to take a look Here and watch this video from our Lock Up to learn more!

Annual Halloween Charity – October 29, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Halloween is always a fun time of year, full of excitement, candy and wonderful memories. At Sandy Puc’ Portrait Design, our Halloween Charity has become a cherished tradition that we enjoy sharing with our ever-growing family of patrons. Our event has been raising canned food donations for the Food Bank of the Rockies for eight years now, and we have been collecting blood donations for the Children’s Hospital for six years. It’s a great combination of having fun and doing some good in the Denver community.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 29, because our next Halloween Charity event is just around the corner! We need at least 32 appointments for the Children’s Hospital bloodmobile, which will be at our studio from 8:00 a.m. to noon. If you are free to donate blood, please call to make an appointment today at (303) 730-8638.

Don’t forget to bring your little ones along for some fun trick or treating and an all-ages haunted house. With a canned food or $5 donation, you will receive a complimentary 4×6 print on our haunted set, so make sure everyone wears their costumes. The haunted house and Halloween set are open from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

I look forward to seeing you there!

2012 Charity Model Search

I’m excited to announce that it’s almost time to begin another Charity Model Search, benefiting my favorite charity, Now I Lay me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS). I co-founded this 501©3 nonprofit organization in 2005, and it is more near and dear to my heart than ever.

NILMDTS offers free, professional portraits to parents suffering a loss of a new baby. This delicate and tragic time in a family’s life is profoundly heartbreaking. Commemorative portraits of the baby are a source of healing for parents and a unique way to honor their child’s precious memory.

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep Charity Model Search

The Charity Model Search is a major source of funding for the meaningful work that they do at NILMDTS. It’s a wonderful asset to the charity, made possible by portrait photographers (and their clients) across North America.

With your participation, you will receive substantial exposure in your local community as well as on a national level, through the charitymodelsearch.org website, where the voting process occurs. Your clients will be featured on the model search website, with the opportunity to win prizes and become North America’s Cutest Kid. Best of all, all proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit NILMDTS.

With your $25 registration on charitymodelsearch.org, you will receive a full set of marketing templates to help get your clients involved in this campaign. You can begin booking sessions and uploading portraits on January 1st, 2012. There is no limit on entries per photographer. Once uploaded, each portrait will receive $1 votes from family, friends and the general public. North America’s Cutest Child will be announced in mid-April next year, with valuable prize packages for the winning child and photographer.

Participating in the Charity Model Search is not only a great way to gain exposure to new clients in your community; it’s also a great way to give back. Last year’s Charity Model Search raised over $44,000 for NILMDTS. That is truly amazing. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make that a success. Please join us this year.

Register at charitymodelsearch.org starting October 1st to become a part of this important cause.

Sandy Puc’ and Photography School House presents a FREE webinar: “Charitable and Holiday Marketing”

Hello Friends,

I would love for you to join me on September 20th at 6 pm pacific time for the free “Charitable and Holiday Marketing” webinar that I will be hosting at Photography Schoolhouse.

I will be discussing several promotion campaigns to show how your studio can work with charities. These types of promotions create great exposure for your studio, as well as the cause you have selected. In the midst of all of my charity work, the most important of this type of work is to choose a charity that speaks to you–always work from the heart.

Registration is limited to Photography Schoolhouse members only, however, you can become a member (which is also free), by joining here.

Can’t wait!

Sam
