November Update: Santa is at Sandy Puc’ Portrait Design

Hello everyone,

The temperature is dropping, the snow is falling, and I can’t believe it’s that time of year already.

With the holiday season upon us, the studio is full of fun festivities and events. Today we kicked off the beginning stages of our Santa Charity with Santa Claus himself.

Our 10th annual Colorado Christmas event benefiting the Children’s Hospital of Denver began today with an appearance from Santa Larry.

Day 1 marked another year of beautifully dressed children and the excitement of getting the first glimpse of the Jolly Old Elf himself.

A few slots are open for tomorrow (Friday), Saturday and Monday, so call now to reserve yours before they’re all booked up.

This is our biggest fundraiser involving Children’s Hospital, as we make a donation for each family portrait.

Halloween Charity and Open House Recap

With beautiful Colorado weather, the annual Halloween Charity and Open House was a smashing success.

Family-themed costumes highlighted the afternoon, including appearances by the Grinch family and Cowboy family.

We’re pleased to announce that four barrels of food were filled for The Food Bank of the Rockies.

Contact us now if you’re interested in being placed on our blood donors’ list for next year to benefit the Children’s Hospital Blood Bank.

In the sprit of the giving season, Sandy Puc Portrait Design is giving you $25 for FREE. Purchase a $75 gift certificate on Black Friday (Nov. 26) or Cyber Monday (Nov. 29), and we’ll add an additional $25.

Race for the Cure images posted online

Each year, Sandy Puc Portrait Design is the official Event photographer for the Denver Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. This year, we had several local photographers join our efforts to provide the best images yet. A special thanks to Michelle, Judy, Jeff, Stephanie, Lisa and Susan as well as the SPPD event photographers for being part of the team. We had a wonderful time sharing the experience with you all. Thanks to all who participated in this event and we hope to see you next year! The Race for the Cure images are now online. They can be accessed at sppd.smugmug.com/komen.

As for the upcoming “A Pink Tie Affair”, we have had a lot of generous community leaders come in to the studio to have their portraits taken and to share their support. These “Pink Tie Guy” sessions have included Ernie Blake, Larry Trujillo, Matthew McDonald, Kyle Orton, Mayor Hickenlooper (affectionately called “Mr. Hick”), Joseph Coors and Mark Koebrich. These images will be used by the foundation for marketing and include print and web media, as well as billboards and posters around town. We are also excited to attend and photograph the upcoming event soon.

Reminder to join us for The Body School’s Grand Opening on October 23rd
Join us for our Grand Opening for refreshments and hors d’oeuvres from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. To sign up for one of our Charity Boot Camps, cost is a minimum $20 donation and all proceeds benefit the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association (www.pwsa.org). Charity Boot Camps will be held at 7, 8 and 9 a.m. and 1, 2 and 3 p.m. If interested, please RSVP at 720-974-9785. Participants get a great workout, a free t-shirt and help a great cause. If you can’t come and workout, but want to make a donation to the Prader-Willi Organization, please call the Body School (see number above) and we will be happy to process your contribution.

You are invited to Sandy Puc’ Portrait Design’s Halloween Charity!
This year marks Sandy Puc’ Portrait Design’s 8th Annual Halloween Charity and Open House on October 30th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year, we will have a haunted house, pumpkin patch and tasty treats! Bring a canned food item or a $5 donation and receive a free 4×6 portrait of your little ghosts or ghouls! Halloween Fun!

Looking for some seasonal fun to share with your kids? Our Halloween Charity Bash is always a blast!

Join us on Saturday from 10:00 until 1:00 for some fun, candy, and FREE photos

One of the great things about our Halloween Charity Event is that it helps to teach our kids that it’s always good to remember those less fortunate than ourselves.

Our Halloween Charity benefits the Food Bank of the Rockies. Canned goods (or a $5 donation) are collected in exchange for a 4×5 portrait of your little “trick or treaters” posing on the porch of our haunted house.

We also have an adorable pumpkin patch to investigate as well as a haunted cemetery for the braver souls.

Oh, and also candy. We have lots and lots and lots of candy, and we love to share.

See you on Saturday!
